What is UltraHealth?

UltraHealth is not the same thing as preventative medicine, medical self-care or holistic medicine, nor is it simply another weight loss diet.  All of these disciplines concentrate on either preventing or treating illness and quick fix (short-lived), one dimensional results.  Although UltraHealth can share in some of the benefits of all of these, in reality it is very different and goes far beyond them.  For UltraHealth does not focus primarily on disease, its prevention or on losing weight.  Instead, its major focus is learning to live at the peaks - to explore the heights - of wellbeing and maintaining this state throughout life to support longevity.

UltraHealth Philosophy

Nature Knows Best

If we take an honest look at nature, we will observe that three things are present:
1.  Nature follows definite laws which are not subject to opinion or variance.
2.  Every aspect of life is reflected by nature.
3.  Nature is governed by the law of CAUSE and EFFECT.

If we have violated a natural law, we have created a Cause, for which we will suffer an Effect. Our ignorance of the laws of Nature does not change these laws.

There are two reasons for dis-ease, or lack of health: Ignorance and Laziness

Modern culture often tries to cheat nature or to out-smart her, believing that modern science can fix all with a magic pill or treatment regime.  This is both ludicrous and counter productive when all we really need to do is observe nature, and learn to follow the natural laws that govern us. 

We were meant to be slim, fit, strong, healthy, long-lived and full of energy and vitality.  Obesity and any form of dis-ease, goes against nature and our natural state of being.  It has been created by our modern lifestyle and diets and cannot be resolved by the medical science that arises from this same culture.  It can only be turned around by a journey back to a more natural diet and lifestyle.

Sounds easy - but often people struggle to improve their health or even loose a few pounds and keep them off.  Our consumer society and modern culture - fast food restaurants, family and social pressures, media, conflicting advice, modern drugs, health 'professionals', and work demands all work against us when we try to break away from the unhealthy habits they support.  Even our own body, mind and psyche can be less than supportive with cravings, doubts and low energy levels.
